Imenco Survey Solutions is offering a job opportunity for an experienced Geophysical Party Chief to join our team. The role involves overseeing the collection of hydrographic and geophysical data in a variety of environments.The Geophysical Party Chief will be responsible for setting up and testing the online navigation suite, calibrating survey sensors, and conducting a 12-hour online shift while offshore. This includes overseeing data collection, managing equipment, ensuring safety protocols, and analyzing data to provide insights into subsurface characteristics. Strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills are essential for this role.Tasks and Responsibilities:Set up and operate hydrographic and geophysical survey equipment and survey vesselCalibration of hydrographic and geophysical survey equipmentResponsible for installation, calibration, and operation of marine survey toolsAcquire direct read sound velocity and/or CTD data and process the resulting informationMaintain survey quality records (including daily logbook and DPRs)Instruction and performance monitoring of junior personnelPerformance of work role in accordance with company and project policies & proceduresEnsure that data gathered is in accordance with Survey project proceduresReporting of operational activities and logged data that does not meet acceptance criteriaTake part in hazard identification and risk assessment as required by Client and Imenco PoliciesMinimum Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Geophysical Surveying in the offshore environmentAppropriate offshore medical and offshore survival courseBosiet or HUET training certificationTWIC CardRequired Skills:Exposure or working knowledge in Offshore Geophysical Survey with specialization in multibeam, side scan sonar, magnetometer, sub bottom profiler and CTD.Working knowledge of DGPS, motion reference positioning systems and calibration techniquesWorking knowledge in networking and interfacingBenefits:Paid Vacation100% Paid Employee MedicalVision401KApplicants:Successful candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.Imenco Survey Solutions is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to promoting a diverse workforce and an inclusive respectful workplace.
