Lead multiple engineers on projectsTake ownership for the project being completed on time and on budgetProvide development and design services on overhead and underground utility distribution line projects (34kV and below)Working on multiple projects while prioritizing workInterface with utility clients and collaboration with design teamPreparation and development of distribution voltage construction packages for both overhead and underground constructionUtilizing GIS information to aide in designProvide leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff membersRegularly meet and correspond with clients, equipment suppliers, surveyors, and construction personnelTypical assignments include:
Design distribution facilities utilizing client standards including, overhead and underground distribution facilities including distribution equipment installation, feeder replacement, cable replacement, new feeder design and others as assignedRouting, design and execution of distribution line projectsPrepare calculations and equipment specificationsField walkdownsResponse to field questionsGIS mappingQualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering7+ years of distribution engineering experience requiredEligibility to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the futureValdes Architecture & Engineering Company is looking for bright and talented people that want to take their career to the next level.
