Senior Design Build Project Manager
with
10+ years
of professional experience to be part of our
Alternative Delivery (Design-Build/PPP/CM@Risk)
Transportation team.In this position, you will manage Alternative Delivery transportation projects. A strong background in Alternative Delivery procurement methods (Adjusted Score DB/Progressive DB/PPP/CM@Risk) is required as well as an understanding of contract management, scheduling, cost control, and coordination with multiple disciplines including roadway, temporary traffic control, drainage, structures, signing and pavement marking, lighting, ITS, tolling, signalization, utility design, utility coordination, SUE, and survey.Roadway design engineering experience is required. FDOT, NCDOT, and Structural design experience is a plus. Oversee and manage a staff of design engineers and coordinate with various disciplines both internal and external to WGI;Manage/develop engineering designs including geometric alignments, profiles, cross sections, construction and maintenance of traffic details;Create or guide an engineering team for the development of engineering documents including Typical Section Packages, Pavement Design Reports, and Design Variation/Exception Documents;Coordinate with WGI's clients and team members, prepare meeting notes, prepare invoices, manage assigned project financials (BST experience is a plus), and progress reports to support assigned projects;Perform quality control reviews and prepare/oversee construction quantity estimates;Cross-train in other transportation disciplines including roadway, drainage, signing and pavement marking, signalization, and maintenance of traffic;Develop plans, calculations, and specifications among multi-discipline engineering teams;Pursue additional work from existing and new WGI clients and be responsible for meeting with clients, preparing pursuit materials, and coordinating with required discipline leads.Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college; DBIA certified is a strong plus;Demonstrated 10+ years in progressively responsible experience;Active Florida or North Carolina Professional Engineering License or the ability to obtain either license within 6-months of employment.Highway design lead experience preferred:Project Management with FDOT or NCDOTProject Management with municipalitiesPrior supervisory experience leading an engineering teamProficiency in Microstation and GeopakExperience with 3D Corridor Modeling is a strong plusAbility to lead winning project pursuits including letter of interest preparation, presentation development and presentation skills (interviews, question & answer sessions, leading presentations)Prepare contracts, scopes of services, fee estimates (in accordance with FDOT or NCDOT standard practices and requirements)Ability/desire to lead a team of engineering and marketing staff to pursue, win and design transportation-related projectsAbility to work independently and on large multi-discipline teamsMicrosoft Office skills - including Word, Excel, and PowerPointExceptional oral and written communication skillsTravel to other office locations may be requiredPhysical DemandsThe physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
