Job Overview

Position Schedule: Full-Time

Seeking a dynamic individual to assist in continuing the build out of a new department within our operations division supporting alternative investments. The individual will play a centralized role in leading our firm's effort to expand the array of products offered to our branch teams and clients. This role is for an individual who is comfortable representing Operations while partnering with stakeholders within other departments, divisions, and client segments.

Take a lead role representing the Operations Division within cross-divisional working groups for onboarding new product(s) to the firm.

Assist the working group in researching, consulting, and advising on the impact to operations, e.g., considerations, digital build, etc.

Seek out the right subject matter experts within Operations and outside to understand impact.

Vet varying methodologies for the potential build and work with their leader to determine the optimal path forward.

Establish criteria, requirements, and completion of EPICs to support various endeavors.

Lead efforts to identify ownership across the capability structure and assist with coordination of the workflow with impacted stakeholders.

Understand the upstream/downstream impacts to other departments and divisions within the firm.

Explore multiple options available and arrive at appropriate solutions that align with area goals.

Strong problem-solving skills are required to research non-routine questions and recognize complex situations involving client accounts and/or firm systems.

Ability to analyze, research, and make decisions on non-routine issues independently with little or no guidance.

Deep understanding of the regulatory environment and ability to apply knowledge to reach appropriate conclusions in the best interest of clients and the firm.

Expected to continually increase acumen in the alternative assets space.

Become acclimated with technology utilized within the department.

Responsible for Records and Information Management (RIM coordinator) for the department.

Assist with establishing controls and oversight for any new work staying within our department.

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:

Hiring Minimum: $96,471Hiring Maximum: $164,262

Skills/Requirements

Must have their Series 7 license.

Familiarity with varying products within the capital markets.

Aware of firm policies, structure, and organization.

Comfortable and able to drive results in an ambiguous environment.

Able to research and problem-solve questions and issues arising.

Must be able to clearly articulate thoughts both verbally and in writing.

Comfortable representing Edward Jones to external vendors, product partners, and other entities.

Comfortable in a consistently evolving space.

Able to evaluate processes and assist in mitigating inherent risks.

Well organized and able to create structure and documentation for work performed.

May be asked to travel from time to time as the job requires.
