Position Summary:The Traffic Control Department Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple traffic control projects, ensuring that all crews and management staff strictly adhere to corporate safety policies. This role involves managing employees, coordinating effective and efficient project staffing, and maintaining strong customer relations. The manager ensures staff training, communicates policies and procedures, and assigns job tasks. Interaction with other personnel includes coordinating manpower, materials, equipment, and timelines, as well as conducting site audits as needed.Salary Range: $65k-$75k and a 5% BonusEssential Functions and Duties:Ensure all projects are executed safely and in accordance with contract scope, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness.Coordinate all external labor requirements.Manage assigned projects under the guidance of the Traffic Control Manager.Develop employee schedules, manage project personnel, and ensure timely recording and reporting of work hours.Ensure project completion within the planned schedule or report deviations to the Department Manager.Oversee branch operations, including equipment needs and DOT compliance.Participate in decisions related to hiring, terminating, promoting, and advancing employees, offering recommendations that impact employee status.Assist the Traffic Control Manager with additional duties as needed.Mentor project personnel to enhance their skills.Provide the team with necessary resources to fulfill project requirements.Manage all project-related communications, including reports and directives.Maintain direct contact with customers, offering solutions to any problems that arise.Periodically document project status and prepare final close-out reports.Provide accurate and regular forecasts of revenue, margin, costs, and completion milestones.Key Leadership Competencies:Lead by example with a strong focus on safety, business ethics, work habits, and work-life balance.
