If the answer is, “Yes!” then we have an opportunity that will excite you!ARCO/Murray Engineering is currently looking for a highly motivated Steel Detailing Project Manager, with previous experience using Tekla Structures, to join our team based in our Downers Grove, IL office. The Steel Detailing Project Manager will be responsible for creating 3D models and developing fabrication-level information in support of a wide range of construction projects.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Accurately interpret construction documentsDevelop fabrication level information early in the design process based upon feedback and coordination with internal engineering and construction team membersCoordination of models from various trades (HVAC, MEP, etc.) for clash detection and coordinationCreate 3D models utilizing Tekla from early design information and construction documentsPrepare and modify shop drawings including erection, assembly, and part drawings for the purposes of fabrication utilizing Tekla 3D modeling softwareManipulate existing models and drawings as neededCheck models through in-model review and report creationManage multiple projects at once and guide Steel Detailers through the process of modeling those projectsInterface with company stakeholders, clients, or subcontractors as required (i.e. increased responsibility toward overall success of the construction job)Continuing education through a combination of in-house and company-funded external training

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

Associates degree in computer aided drafting or related field5 - 10 years of steel detailing experience using Tekla Structures or SDS/2Concrete detailing and wood framing detailing a plusStrong written and verbal communication skillsSelf-starter, motivated with the ability to start and finish a project on timeAbility to organize, plan and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired resultsProgramming experience such as Visual Studio or Python is a plus, experience with visual scripting such as Grasshopper is a plus, experience with APIs (Tekla Open API or others) is also a plusComputer skills: 3D Modeling Software (Tekla, SDS/2, or similar), proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook
