Job Description

Production Lead Supervisor (Ultrasonic Operation) Job SummaryThe Ultrasonic Lead Supervisor leads the day-to-day supervisory functions of the sites ultrasonic operations (both flat rolled and billet products) to oversee the planning, scheduling, execution and assignment of work in such a manner as to produce the product within quality, cost, cycle time, and on-time delivery objectives. The Ultrasonic Lead Supervisor also facilitates the department's implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.Ultrasonic Lead Supervisor Essential FunctionsSafety and Quality adherence: Ensures our shop floor is following all safety and quality procedures and guidelines.Shop Floor Production and Execution: Coordinate with Area Supervisors and Planning teams on production planning and execution.Shop Floor Maintenance and Engineering: Active roll in coordinating with Maintenance and Engineering our daily maintenance priorities and future maintenance and engineering projects.Supervisor Management and Development: Oversees daily job responsibilities of the turn supervisor positions. Responsible for training and development of Turn supervisors.Continues improvement initiativesUltrasonic Lead Supervisor: Additional ResponsibilitiesAchieving daily, monthly, weekly and quarterly Flex and TOC goals. Includes but not limited to: ESH, Productivity, Overtime Management, Supplies, Repairs, Throughput, and VC/ESHLead ownership for Cost Reduction, Yield Improvement, Productivity Improvements, Cycle Time improvement, On Time Delivery Improvements, Adherence to Budget, and other Department Improvement Initiatives.Run reports in SAP to track and move material throughout the Departments to support throughput and on-time delivery.Support the development and application of programs that will promote long-term continuous improvement consistent with the operating objectives of the department. (Examples: Suggestion program, 5'S program, etc...)Actively participate in succession planning for personal growth as well as development of other Supervisors.Operational responsibilities in the absence of Dept.
