Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager / Applications Engineer – Denver CO (MEP & or Mechanical Contractor)This is a full-time office position with a growing stable company.

Salary: $110,000-150,000K + depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

Review pre-construction documents, manage pre-construction tasks and project timelines, generate RFIs, and evaluate product suitability.

Assist Service Manager in reviewing and thoroughly understanding the design process for mechanical contractor projects with heating and cooling design. Familiarity with Carrier Hap and Trane Trace is helpful.

Produce and review project deliverables promptly, provide expertise in product selection and application.

Understand equipment: RX Refrigeration, Chilled & hot water systems, energy recovery systems, Geothermal equipment, Boilers, high efficiency commercial and industrial cooling systems.

Strong understanding of commercial mechanical systems and installation techniques to ensure timely installation while minimizing disruptions to customer; includes chillers, boilers, RTUs, split systems, ductwork, piping, etc. Set job priorities and coordinate project work with the Service Manager and Project Coordinator to hit key milestones. Deliver projects at planned costs by effectively managing materials, tools, labor, and subcontractors. Work closely with the General Contractor to ensure all required timelines, milestones, and completion goals are met.

Oversee administrative tasks such as RFIs, change orders, billings, and lien releases throughout the project. Manage project timelines, anticipate potential issues, develop solutions, and communicate with all stakeholders. Possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems, building controls, mechanical/electrical codes, and OSHA standards.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience based on responsibilities above, consulting preferred.

Strong communication skills and initiative.

PE or EIT/FE certification a plus.

Valid driver’s license and vehicle.

Able to move, lift & carry 100 lbs.

Background check and drug test required.

Mathematical Skills:

Strong arithmetic and graph interpretation abilities.

Capable of operating computer equipment and performing some physical tasks.

This Job Is:

Open to Mechanical Project Management with Construction experience and ability to manage all aspects of a Project, scope, budget, milestones through to completion.
