Maple Ridge Lodge Assisted Living is looking for a RN to be the Assistant Director of Nursing overseeing the nursing department in our Assisted Living community on our Campus in beautiful Essex Junction, Vermont!
OverviewThe Assistant Director of Nursing is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in a healthcare setting. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong clinical background, exceptional management skills, and a commitment to compliance with healthcare regulations. The Assistant Director of Nursing will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans, maintain documentation standards, and ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
Assist in the Lead and manage the nursing team, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal patient care.Oversee the development, implementation, and review of care plans tailored to individual patient needs.Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including HIPAA guidelines.Conduct regular documentation reviews to maintain accuracy and completeness in patient records.Assist in shift schedules effectively to ensure adequate staffing levels and continuity of care.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes in assisted living, home health, or nursing home settings.Provide training and mentorship to nursing staff on medical terminology, systems, and best practices in patient care.Address any issues related to patient care or staff performance promptly and effectively.
Skills
Proficient in documentation review processes and maintaining accurate medical records.Strong understanding of care plan development and implementation.Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.Excellent shift management skills to optimize staffing efficiency.Experience in assisted living or home health environments is preferred.Solid grasp of medical terminology relevant to nursing practices.
