Program Lead Early Years Services

for the Micah Projects’ Wellsprings Children and Families Hub at Hawthorne. This position will provide a new opportunity for the right candidate to develop their skills and knowledge further within a dynamic model of support for children and families. The Program Lead will support a team of 3 child and family practitioners (Educators) in operating our service 3 days per week, alongside offering a supportive playgroup for families (1 day) and outreach support to families engaged with Micah Projects.This is a permanent full time employment opportunity with conditions and salary at Level 5 of the SCHADS Award.Desired Skills and Experience

Skills and KnowledgeBachelor of Early Childhood Education/Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent ACECQA approved qualification, with 3-5 years experience.Passionate for individual/child centred curriculum driven programsUnderstanding of Early Years Learning Framework, Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines, and the National Quality StandardsBe an inspiring leader and positive advocate for early childhoodA strong level of communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and the communityBe flexible, relevant, reflective, and responsive in practice.Senior first aid certificate, including CPR certificate and training in the emergency management of anaphylaxis and asthma or willingness to completeDutiesPlanning, preparation, and delivery of a comprehensive Early Childhood Program that is guided by the Queensland Kindergarten Learning GuidelinesPreparing and reflecting on your teaching environment to meet the needs of children’s developmentCritically reflecting on your own teaching strategies and collaboratively reflecting to meet the needs of the community, children and families.Using your creative vision and leadership skills to lead and support our community of families, children, and educatorsDelivering a hands-on approach towards teaching young children that supports their holistic developmentDemonstrated experience documenting observations of children's behaviour and developmentEvidence of sound professional experience that shows initiative and strong sense of personal responsibility for meeting objectives, modelling of professional and ethical behaviour, commitment to personal development; and display of courage in the provision of advice and decision makingYour application will answer the following questions:Have you worked in a role which requires a sound understanding of the early years learning framework?What First Aid accreditations do you currently hold?How many years' experience do you have as an early childhood teacher?Do you have a current Blue Card?Have you worked in a role which requires a sound understanding of the National Quality Framework?Have you completed a Bachelor of Education - Early Childhood?Do you have current teacher's registration in Australia?If you are an early childhood professional with the passion and energy to lead our Early Years Program, please apply with your current resume and a cover letter addressing how your experience, skills and qualifications meet the above requirements.For more information about the role and to learn more about the key selection criteria, see
