The Pastry Supervisor is responsible for pastry shop operation in pastry chef’s absence. To follow and maintain standard procedures on a daily basis for preparing all specific items for the hotel outlets. Keep work areas clean to meet sanitation standards.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) include:
Supervise and train pastry cooks and bakers.
Control quality and freshness of product.
Prepare pastries and breads in accordance with expected business.
Make daily inventory and ordering for pastry shop.
Build solid relationships with your colleagues.
Treat colleagues with respect and dignity.
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description.

Qualifications and Skills:
A candidate for this position must possess the following applicable knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to demonstrate and provide applicable examples to support his/her competency:
At least two years of previous pastry cook experience.
A Culinary Pastry degree or related hotel experience preferred.
Candidates should be able to perform all basic and intermediate pastry cooking skills.
Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience.
Strong communication skills.
Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
Valid ServSafe Food Handler Certificate required.
