Job OverviewEmbark on a fulfilling culinary journey with the YMCA as a food service assistant, where your passion for cooking meets a higher purpose. In this dynamic role, you will wear many hats, each contributing to the vibrant community we strive to foster. The hours for this role are Monday through Friday, 6 am to 2 pm.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and kitchen aesthetics, ensuring compliance with state and local codes.
Ensure quality and quantity of cleaning supplies and equipment are always up to par.
Orchestrate kitchen efficiency, preparing food according to directives of the Food Service Director.
Plan, implement, and supervise healthy menus for children's daily meals and snacks, mapping out a week in advance.
Prepare snacks, lunches, and drinks for committee meetings.
Maintain accurate daily records for state lunch reports, recording purchases and submitting reports.
Balance daily cash receipts and record charges on staff charge sheets.
