Be a part of something big as we continue our growth story together!Position OverviewThe Mortgage Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting mortgage operations. This role produces operating reports and analysis, administers and maintains processes that support the department, configures and tests mortgage software, and provides general administrative services.Essential Job FunctionsDevelop, maintain and distribute reports to the production team and leadership team to enhance pipeline management.Maintain processes and procedures to ensure best practices are in place and consistently followed.Partner with leadership team on departmental communications ensuring uniformity and clarity of messaging.Assist in building a training program for loan officers; produce resources and job aids to coincide with training.Update and maintain Business Process Continuity plan for the department. Ensure all parties are aware of their individual responsibilities.Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic decisions and drive innovation in home lending products and services.Assist with commission reporting.Assist with mortgage system (Encompass) administration including testing releases and new products.Provide administrative support to leadership and assist with special projects as needed.Review and process invoices.Verify MERS accuracy.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree (or equivalent) and two or more years of mortgage operations, administrative reporting and/or business analysis experience within the financial industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.CompetenciesHighly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Experienced with working with macros in Excel, V-Lookup and Pivot tables.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.Analytical, process and results focused.Detail oriented and inquisitive.Deep collaboration skills - willing to help out as needed; takes initiative toward moving tasks and projects forward.Extremely organized with strong time-management skills.Preferred, but not required:Mortgage operations experience strongly preferred.Experience using Encompass mortgage system.Thanks for considering Old Second!
