ABOUT THE POSITIONGeomatics Survey Project Manager | Hybrid positionVHB's growing New England region is seeking a Geomatics Survey Project Manager to join our Geomatics team. The successful candidate must be knowledgeable in Land Surveying for a variety of applications, including boundary determinations, topographic surveys, utility surveys, highway surveys and subdivisions. The position requires up-to-date knowledge of current technologies, and a proven ability to manage land surveying projects. Potential for candidate to be hybrid based out of our Wethersfield, CT, or Providence, RI offices.Responsibilities

Manages projects, project staff, and clientsProject management, including management of budget, scope, and schedule for small, moderate, and large land survey projectsManagement of project staff and clientsPerformance and/or oversight of surveying calculationsAnalysis and interpretation of public records research, including deeds, plans and other pertinent documents for the projectPerform field checks, manage quality control of all productsCoordinate survey efforts with other groups in an integrated services environmentSkills and Attributes

Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of Land Surveying, including legal requirements, boundary determinations and ALTA requirementsProficient in reading and understanding engineering, architectural, and structural drawingsExperience with electronic instruments, field data collectors, AutoCAD and Civil 3D software, and GPSKnowledge of local subdivision and zoning requirementsAbility to direct and monitor construction layout servicesExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsExcellent teamwork and collaboration skillsMotivated to lead and mentor othersQualifications

10+ years of professional land surveying/geomatics experience, including managing land surveying projectsHigh school diploma or GEDDegree in Survey Engineering, Geomatics, Geographic Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferredPLS license preferredExperience with solar, transmission, and distribution energy projects is desired.We are VHB!
