Supervisors

in the St. Louis area for multiple crews including Leak & Maintenance, Service, and Area Operations. Supervisors are responsible for executing the day-to-day work of field operations and directly managing bargaining unit employees in all aspects of safety and productivity. They are responsible for working with their Administrators to ensure compliance and customer-related timelines, holding their teams accountable.Leak & Maintenance

crews schedule and complete maintenance work, including cathodic protection issues, installing or replacing services, and work on mains.

Service

crews perform field service and meter work on natural gas distribution systems including gas turn on/turn off, read in/read out, dead meter checks, meter pulls, meter loop constructions, and investigation of gas odor complaints.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSchedule and coordinate shared equipment and resources.Coordinate and oversee the implementation of plans to attain departmental goals.Review jobs, including checking blueprints, visiting work sites, prioritizing jobs, and ensuring that the necessary material and equipment are available.Meet contractors and municipalities, including attending meetings or job sites, discussing utility conflicts/changes in contractor plans, and scheduling start dates.Coordinate activities with other departments or operations supervisors to ensure efficient completion of work.Assist the Service Administrator in preparing and implementing the department's business plan.Prepare and coordinate all safety activities for the region.Review and complete various paperwork such as absence reports, safety reports, service tickets, and weekly manpower reports.Monitor crew performance to ensure alignment with business unit objectives.Schedule all training (OQ, Fire, Hearing, Halt, Respirator, etc.) for employees.Observe and evaluate new employees.Ensure timely and accurate completion of employee timesheets, expense reports, and other submissions.Oversee plans ensuring the health and safety of all employees in the region.Visit crews and technicians to check job progress and adherence to safety standards.Assist in managing employee issues, including grievances, filling vacancies, and disciplining employees.Perform all other duties as assigned.Essential Characteristics and CompetenciesDemonstrated core and job category competencies: customer-focused, results-driven, teamwork, communications, adaptability, initiative, problem solving, and quality.Ability to lead by example, supporting the company's essential characteristics and values: strong ethics, integrity, dedication to a safe work environment, and commitment to a diverse workforce.Ability to lead, mentor, and develop employees.Recognize problems and respond effectively, systematically gathering information and understanding the consequences of decisions.Ability to make difficult decisions and effectively communicate them.Ability to provide and communicate clear performance objectives.Ability to define roles/responsibilities, motivate, and set strategy.Read the full posting.
