Job Description:This is professional services work of a policy, management and leadership nature administering, directing and leading the maintenance and operations activities of the Department of Transportation’s Western Region. Responsibilities include providing leadership and guidance to a management team that leads their respective crews in the performance of highway, bridge, traffic, and fleet operations. Develops and recommends new and revised policies, and procedures to improve operations within the Region. Plans, organizes, and controls regional operations, and programs to establish priorities, manage operations, and to ensure operational goals, and objectives are communicated, and achieved. Leads in the development of the regional budget and work plan. In consultation with the Region Manager, determines and administers financial, personnel and capital needs, to meet established statewide and regional transportation goals, objectives and priorities. Develop, implement and maintain the Regional Safety program, practices and procedures.Minimum Qualifications:A ten (10) year combination of education, training and/or experience in maintenance, construction, fleet management, safety and budget to include at least four (4) years of managerial experience.Application Instructions:Interested applicants need to apply online by clicking the
