If you thrive on real-time plan execution, schedule management, problem-solving and accountability, this is the position for you. You’ll be the central point of contact for our commercial and roll-off customers, Drivers and managers. Every day, you’ll see your impact on service quality, safety and asset management. You’ll be a key contributor to successful route execution using precision logistics tools.

Full time on-site position 5:00 AM - 1:30 pm Mon. - Fri. Starting pay $21 - $22/hr.Key RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalentAt least one year experience in a high-volume dispatch & customer service roleAbility to prioritize work in a fast-paced environmentDiscipline in applying department/company processes and proceduresProblem-solving and action follow-up skillsEffective and professional communication skills via email, telephone, and other technological devicesProficiency in use of scheduling and communications software applicationsAttention to detail and accuracy in using multiple information sources, including reports and databasesReliable attendance in office - Public transportation and rideshares are not effective commuting options for 5 am start timeOther Helpful BackgroundAssociate’s degree or equivalentExperience in environmental management, transportation, waste management or logistics industryCommunity service experienceContinuous improvement knowledge/skillsInterest in sustainabilityResponsibilitiesPlans, assigns, monitors, and follows-up daily on route assignmentsAssists in determining and maintaining weekly Driver and Helper schedulingProactively maintains high-volume of daily communication with commercial and roll off customers through various forms of communication platformsProvides resolutions daily to drivers and management regarding delays, changes, route cancellations, re-routing, and continuous improvement processesEnsures dispatch coverage for all residential drivers are met until 7:30 amReviews current day performance / route progress of Commercial and roll-off Drivers and contact each Driver to check in, inform of identified issues and obtain any further feedbackServes as an emergency point of contact for Drivers/Helpers on logistics and safety issuesEnsures same-day service requests or escalations are responded and executed for all commercial and roll-off routesReviews and uploads logistics reports into record systems dailyReviews notes provided from Drivers to identify service action itemsCross trains within residential and customer service departments for coverage during vacations and PTO requestsCollaborates and maintains scheduling of subhaulers and 3rd party companies that provide services on behalf of Compost CrewComplies with department/company processes and procedures such as maintaining logs and databasesPerforms weekly inventory control tasks and maintains such related to the Upper Marlboro facilityPrepares and distributes daily operational reports prior to the end of shiftAlongside the Route Supervisor, assists in maintaining a clean and safe facility.
