Positions Overview:

As a Warehouse and Production Equipment Maintenance Lead, you play a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance, repair, and setup of various machinery and systems within our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on general building maintenance and repair to include mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Your expertise and proactive approach contribute directly to our operational reliability and the overall success of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the maintenance, repair, and setup of various machinery and systems within the manufacturing facility, including sawdust blower and collection systems, wood cutting equipment, sawblade machinery, air compressor systems, and corrugated box forming equipment.

Perform general building maintenance and repairs, including electrical systems, loading dock equipment, roll-up doors, and plumbing for both the warehouse and office.

Responsible for Forklift and Truck maintenance and repair.

Efficiently set up and calibrate packaging and box assembly machinery to ensure optimal operation for production runs.

Develop, implement, and maintain preventive maintenance programs for each machine/system to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.

Quickly identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues during production runs, ensuring minimal disruption to workflow.

Provide detailed feedback to management and supervisors regarding root causes of equipment malfunctions, production challenges, and potential modifications to enhance safety and efficiency.

Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process modifications and equipment upgrades to improve productivity and safety standards.

Ensure all equipment operations comply with safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety audits and assessments.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certification or training is a plus.

Proven experience with mechanical equipment maintenance, preferably in a warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills repairing machinery and equipment.

Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.

Work Environment:

The work environment may include moderate warehouse noise, typical of a distribution facility.

Temperatures in the warehouse will vary depending upon the season.

Additionally, the role frequently involves sitting, eye-hand-foot coordination, and the ability to adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time.
