Success will be the reward as we build solutions for the moments that matter for our customers.A Program Manager will be an integral part of our team supporting the Product Engineering Management organization to ensure operational delivery for product initiatives. In this role, you will work directly with Engineering Leaders, Project Managers and Product Owners to create and manage delivery roadmaps covering multiple workstreams and resolve cross team dependencies. This position reports to the Senior Director of Program Management and you will help evolve best practices in Program Management.The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with leadership and management qualities that can work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with limited supervision. They must be a fast learner who can quickly absorb the nuances of complex, varied product offerings.Responsibilities:What you will do:Manage execution of a product portfolio of initiatives, partnering with engineering and product management to deliver solutions to the market.Lead quarterly cross-project planning activities, ensure outcomes, inter-project dependencies, program-level risks are identified and addressed. Create confidence in commitments.Identify and effectively manage risks; proactively raise prioritization and scheduling tradeoff decisions, escalating and identifying alternate options as appropriate.Foster radical communication between and within project teams to tear down existing silos and prevent new ones from forming.Provide transparency through program progress reports to project team, stakeholders, management, and executives.Build collaborative and productive relationships by partnering with team members and external stakeholders to help accomplish key business objectives.Support the development and maintenance of program management guidelines, training programs, policies and procedures; instill continuous improvement practices on teams.Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to manage key performance metrics and assist with budget management and roadmap documentation.What will make you successful:Have strong understanding of business and technical problems that teams are solving.Deep knowledge of the software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to post-implementation customer support and customer adoption.Compulsion to organization, innate drive to reduce chaos and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles.Self-motivated; able to work independently while coordinating activities with cross-divisional teams.Team player; able to communicate with technical and business experts at all levels of the organization.Servant leader; understands success is achieved through creating environments for our individual contributors to succeed.Qualifications:B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Hard Sciences or similar.12+ years' experience as project manager, delivering complex system integrated business application projects.PMP, PMP-ACP, or PgMP Certification or equivalent.Program management experience in agile or hybrid-agile environments required.Demonstrated success managing projects and programs in highly distributed, global organizations.Fluent in using digital collaboration tools like Lucid Charts, Miro, Jira, O365, Teams, Slack, Azure Dev Ops, etc.Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to think strategically.Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, especially to Senior Leadership and Executive Levels.Preferred Qualifications:Experience leading large, complex projects in start-up, high-growth or transforming organizations.It is the policy of Donnelley Financial Solutions to select, place, and manage all its employees without discrimination based on race, color, national origin, gender, age, religion, actual or perceived disability, veteran's status, actual or perceived sexual orientation, genetic information or any other protected status.At DFIN, protecting your identity is a top priority.
