Quality Assurance Manager

The contractor Quality Assurance Manager will support the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to support disaster response operations and manage temporary facility support services. A Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing quality control procedures and standards within an organization. They play a vital role in ensuring that products, services, and processes meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements. Their main responsibilities include developing and implementing quality assurance policies, conducting audits and inspections, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous process improvement.

Quality Assurance Manager : Pay commensurate with experience.Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Quality Assurance Manager Responsibilities Include:

Function as Quality Assurance Subject Matter Expert in the area of government facility managementResponsible for the frontline supervision and management of deployed temporary facility services to include health/safety, vendor management, IT support, security, logistics, medical, and construction staff and equipment.Inspects and reports quality control of temporary facilities, including equipment, maintenance, and repairsMonitors schedule, budget, QA/QC and execution of work at disaster locationProvides QA/QC of site preparation, mobilization, phase-in, phase-out, and demobilization effortsEnsures conformance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes, The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, safety standards, and other agency criteria.Leads and participates in audits and investigations for issues and corrective actionsProvides oversight of master schedule during disaster responseProvides CDRL deliverables as required such as reports and logsHandles customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and effectivelyWorks flexible hours to support disaster response onsite activitiesPrepares briefs and presentations as required utilizing Microsoft Office family of products (i.e. Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Access)Supports meetings and teleconferences as required with managementEnsures compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environmentPerforms other job-related duties as assigned

Quality Assurance Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

A bachelor's degree specialized in facility management, civil engineering, architecture, or related fieldsMinimum of ten (10) years of professional experienceExperience working in a government environment preferably with FEMA or HHS.Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are not required but are preferredExperience performing Quality Assurance duties in a construction environmentAbility to communicate clearly and effectively via oral and written meansAbility to present a positive demeanor to individuals, their families, staff, supportive services personnel, and the general publicAbility to remain calm in the midst of difficult circumstances and emergencies.Able to effectively manage significant documentationAbility to explain tasks, plans, schedules, strategies, and issues to stakeholdersAdvanced knowledge of disaster services and community resources; Federal, state, tribal and territorial disaster assistance programs, housing & utility assistance and disability benefitsKnowledge of the National Response Framework, Emergency Support Function 6Proficient in utilizing Outlook, Word and Excel; PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, VisioPast applicable job experience may include, but is not limited to: QC Manager, QA Specialist, or QA Team LeadMust pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
