£45,000 – £55,000 (DOE), Plus Excellent Benefits PackageThe Role:Our client is a large engineering company who have been awarded a contract with Anglian Water to design, build and refurbish their water treatment plants. This £1.2bn capital investment programme operates in a joint venture environment and they have a new vacancy for a Senior Buyer/Category Manager.Reporting to the Head of Procurement, your role is to support and develop the portfolio and procurement strategies aligned to the business outcomes. This strategic role will be based on the development and the outperformance of our strategic partners and non-framework supply chain during the execution of both project and portfolio requirements.Responsibilities:Aggregate demand based on the business needs whilst driving innovation through the supply chain.Develop and implement SMART objectives/KPM’s with their supply chain partners to support Delivery on Time and mitigate any potential risks to the business.Develop extensive knowledge of the markets in which your category operates and appropriately monitor market risks.Implement regular 360 review meetings with all stakeholders to evaluate current performance across the Joint Venture and assess where value-added initiatives can be implemented from within the supply chain.Gain a true understanding of current processes and challenges within each portfolio and provide the tools and infrastructure for the Solution team to outperform.Engage and support the solution team to ensure the right supply chain is available to outperform against the delivery and procurement strategy.Ensure all commercial requirements are submitted and audited to maximize our overall commercial performance within the company.Ensure SHEA processes and procedures are implemented throughout all deliverables.Skills, Experience and Qualifications:CIPS Professional standard and membership (or equivalent)Engineering or Construction backgroundAbility to handle a wide range of demanding stakeholders; resourceful and persuasive, embracing collaboration and innovation to meet pressurized deadlines.Work with a transparent and commercial outlook with the customer at the heart of all activities and be able to operate at a strategic level.Packages includes:Hybrid Working25 days holiday + Bank Holidays (with an additional 5 days available to buy)Life AssuranceHealth InsurancePrivate medical InsuranceAnd many more benefits including – cycle to work scheme, discounts and savings Hub, kids pass etc.Job Information
