Major Duties and Responsibilities
Managing a large and growing legal staff in the creditor's right and related areas of law.
Applying a strong understanding of applicable legal policies as well as federal and state regulatory issues.
Communicating with clients regarding current legal and regulatory issues and performance.
Ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, and adherence to court procedures and processes.
Working on special projects as required by the firm and clients.
Qualifications and Skills
Licensed to practice in
CA
Complete knowledge of company policies and procedures
Advanced knowledge of principles, practices and methods of creditor's rights and the legal process
Strong knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework affecting the debt buying and debt collection industries including FDCPA, FCRA, GLBA and related state statutes.
Technologically adept, with familiarity with software including Cogent or similar systems a plus.
Ability to handle a high caseload effectively
Strong critical thinking and strategic skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with a team of attorneys and staff to develop strategies for a case
Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize, and work in a rapidly changing environment.
Limited travel for court appearances and industry meetings

Work Schedule
This full-time position typically works Monday - Friday. Saturdays are dependent if that last day of the month falls on a weekend or a Saturday.
