Department Summary
The Marketing and Communications team at UNT Dallas is responsible for university marketing, branding, graphic design, social media, photography, videography, public relations, and communications. The department strengthens the university brand and maintains an informed university community.
Position Overview
The position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and previous digital marketing expertise. It also requires the ability to create effective marketing materials to support university recruitment and branding efforts and the written expertise to draft marketing materials. This position requires excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work professionally with various teams across campus. This position is part-time, in person, and reports to the UNT Dallas campus as scheduled.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, journalism, public relations, advertising, or a related field.
A minimum of two years of previous experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong writing and storytelling skills and previous experience developing ad copy.
Understanding of market segmentation, principles of marketing and branding, and integrated marketing communications.
Experience developing and executing digital marketing campaigns.
Ability to visually inspect and proofread copy material.
Competency in MS Office.
Ability to think creatively, organize tasks, work independently and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
Publishing or graphic design skills, social media tools, or website management are preferred but not required.
Ability to use Associated Press style.

Job Duties:
Assist with developing and executing program-specific and university-wide print and digital marketing campaigns.
Develop marketing pieces that will engage current students and assist with recruiting new students.
Write and proofread marketing materials and present campaign results.
Meet with campus departments to help create marketing plans for specific programs.
Assist and effectively collaborate with all members of the Marketing and Communication team.
Assist with marketing campaigns, internal and external communications and university events.
Other duties as requested by the Associate Vice President of Marketing and Communications.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
