Sandia National Laboratories' Enterprise Cloud Services department (9789) is seeking a dynamic leader to head our Cloud Security and Governance team. If you are passionate about cutting-edge cloud-native solutions and thrive in an evolving, fast-paced cloud environment, this is the opportunity for you!

On any given day, you may be called on to:

Lead an innovative team tackling real-word challenges in cloud security and governanceSolve critical issues and help shape the future of cloud policy frameworks that protect our customersEnhance and manage our cloud governance and security tools to keep pace with the latest advancementsInvestigate and mitigate threats as you play a pivotal role in cybersecurity incident responseCollaborate with cybersecurity team to safeguard our cloud environment against evolving threatsPartner with Cyber Information Assurance team to conduct in-depth security assessments and ensure complianceThe selected applicant can be a remote worker located in any U.S. State or District of Columbia. Regular or periodic travel to your assigned work location may be required.

Salary Range

$109,300 - $217,400

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Qualifications We Require

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity or related field plus 5 years of experience; or equivalent (Associate's degree + 9 years or no degree + 13 years)Experience with Kusto Query LanguageExperience with Microsoft SentinelExperience with Cybersecurity Incident Response processes, i.e. Cloud SecurityExperience with Cloud or Network Based ForensicsAbility to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearanceQualifications We Desire

Experience in Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Experience with:

Cloud Policy frameworkSIEM and SOAR technologies (Splunk, Azure Sentinel, or Sumologic)Understanding of Policy as CodeUnderstanding of Cloud monitoring, and alerting capabilitiesCloud Secure Scoring and implementation

Experience with Microsoft Technologies and M365 SaaS productsExperience with Cloud Security such as Zero Trust, and Assume Breach concepts

Posting Duration

Security Clearance

Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs

If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
