Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:Oversee/review the day-to-day accounting work of staff and monthly closeOperational and financial reports for department managers and senior executivesFinancial StatementsAssist in preparing and compiling budgets and YE financial reportsAnalyze, standardize, and improve processesAssist the internal controls teamProvide financial/business guidance for strategic decisionsAssist IT group with maximizing the efficiencies of the systems for accounting and reporting purposesLiaison for internal and external auditors
Qualifications of the Accounting Manager:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance5+ years of accounting experience including areas of financial reporting and financial statement preparation.Good supervisory skills for directing and coordinating accounting clerical staffAbility to monitor and evaluate worker performance, establish work priorities and delegate tasks, and train staff in proper accounting procedures.
