Job Description:We are currently recruiting for multiple positions at the Principal User Experience Designer level.

The Role

Do you have an unwavering curiosity to ask “why?” Fidelity Investments is looking for a Principal User Experience Designer who is passionate about mobile UX and making mobile apps user-friendly and accessible for all audiences. The Expertise and Skills You Bring

7-10+ years of UX or related experience; degree in a related field such as interactive design, architecture, industrial design, graphic design, or human factors is preferred but not required.

An array of design skills, which might include information architecture, user research, rapid prototyping, visual design and strategic design methods (such as design thinking).

Creating UIs and flows for new and existing mobile products and features.

Developing and refining ideas and concepts, translating them into world-class designs for iOS devices (Android knowledge is a plus).

Experience working on agile teams delivering value in digital products.

Distilling qualitative and quantitative feedback to unearth recurring themes and promote data-driven design decisions.

Partnering with user researchers to understand the customer problems, and validating your designs through user testing and qualitative research.

Effectively communicate and explain design rationale to business and technical partners.

Lead definition of the design work and deliver business outcomes, with minimal guidance and coaching.

Understanding of the value of design systems, reuse of design elements and scalability; knowing when and how to continually improve the system.

Working across the organization to drive consistent customer experiences.

Collaborating with the product owner to help inform product strategy.

Contributing to the culture of the UXD group.

Coaching and mentoring junior designers across the group.

Providing design and product thought leadership.

An online digital portfolio is required.

This role sits within a large community of in-house designers supporting one of our four key businesses: Personal Investing, Workplace Investing, Healthcare, or Fidelity Institutional. Our customers include individual investors, business owners, administrators, and financial professionals.
