Position Summary:
The Office of the Commissioner seeks a Part Time Broadcast Engineer to support the MLB Replay Operations Center and all (30) MLB franchises.
Responsibilities:Verify ballpark equipment including video servers and communication equipmentDocument equipment status and verify incoming video streams for ReplayCommunicate with local technicians and Replay Operators to coordinate video requests and equipment confirmationsKeep detailed and thorough notes and documentationAssist in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on all broadcast devicesSkills & Experience:
Have fundamental understanding of Broadcast technologyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to read and understand technical materialsAbility to recognize and troubleshoot issues in infrastructure environments and software applicationsAbility to work well with others within a team environment and without direct supervisionMust be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
Knowledge of the following equipment a bonus:
Evertz systems, Hawkeye systems, Riedel Intercoms, Remote camera operations, etc.
Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is an hourly rate of $30.00 to $30.00. The actual offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision.
