We are currently recruiting for an Accountant to join our team! As our Accountant, you will perform activities concerned with general ledger and financial reporting. You will assist in the process of accurately stating financial position of the hospital. We are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. We want you to apply now!What you will do in this role:You will assist in performance of monthly general ledger closing process.You will prepare daily and monthly reports for key indicators and statistics.You will review and reconcile daily charge and batch reports.You will reconcile assigned Balance Sheet accounts on a timely basis.You will assist with fixed asset database maintenance and reconciliations.You will assist with preparation of documentation for internal or external audit, tax work papers and Cost ReportWhat Qualifications you will need:Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance required.Experience in health care accounting preferred.Strong computer experience, including Excel.Good oral and written communications skills.Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with individuals.Additional languages preferred.HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is a 138 bed community hospital. We provide care to the residents of Hillsborough and Manatee County. We have been recognized by the Joint Commission for heart failure, sepsis, stroke and total hip and knee. We have an American College of Radiology accreditation in CT, mammography, MRI, nuclear medicine and ultrasound. We received the Healthgrades top 10% in the nation for patient safety. We are a five star recipient for gallbladder removal and small intestine surgeries. Also for hip fracture treatment and pacemaker procedures. We have 24-hour emergency services, cardiology, general surgery and orthopedics. We provide advanced medical services. We have experienced healthcare providers and a dedicated care team.
