Employees in this role are responsible for financial analysis and reporting, strategic initiatives valuation and project management, and total cost budgeting and forecasting. Individuals aim to drive business improvement through action-oriented insights in support of Operations leadership in decision-making and strategy.Individuals manage the NEER Renewables strategic initiatives portfolio and contribute to the annual budgeting process, the monthly forecasting, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver optimal financial analysis. Employees in this position also focus on the continuous improvement of spending, risks and opportunities, and costing methods in accordance with corporate policy and business objectives.Job OverviewThis job is a principal-level analyst who leads decisions and recommendations significantly impacting financial and commercial aspects of the business unit. Employees in this role participate and support the critical financial issues to overall business unit commercial objectives, which include but are not limited to budgeting, forecasting, analysis, benchmarking, reporting, and internal controls. Individuals in this role must have an understanding of the financial and reliability impacts of budget and forecast changes. This position also establishes financial and controls policies and programs designed to meet the commercial objectives of the business unit that drives continuous fleet improvement.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerforms all cost accounting activities including variance analysis, standard cost development, activity-based costing, and inventory controlProvides financial leadership by supporting Operations leadership in decision-making and strategy developmentSupports new lines of business and finds ways to reduce overhead cost per jobProvides reporting and analysis for all operations activity including productivity, capital and overhead spending, forecasting, budgeting, absorption, sales, and inventory and operations planningPrepares and distributes financial reports and indicators and explains financial results to non-financial audiencesCommunicates and explains operational performance through P and LCollaborates effectively with colleagues from all departmentsLeads and executes process improvement projects using Six Sigma principlesManages internal controls processes and identifies and mitigates control weaknessesExtracts, organizes, analyzes, and reports data in a manner that is useful and relevant for making business decisionsDevelops broad technical and communication skills through self-study and internal and external training opportunitiesPerforms other job-related duties as assignedRequired QualificationsHigh School Grad / GEDBachelor's or Equivalent ExperienceExperience: 6+ yearsPreferred QualificationsCertified Public Accountant (CPA)Six Sigma Black Belt CertifiedSix Sigma Green Belt CertifiedBachelor's DegreeMaster's DegreeSix Sigma Master Black BeltEmployee Group:
