Position Summary:

Act as a liaison between managers and staff associates. Responsibilities include audit planning, audit fieldwork, scheduling, staffing and coordinating engagement workflow. Develop and train staff. Demonstrate the ability to make decisions and build & enhance relationships with clients.

Responsibilities:Responsible for managing all phases of audit engagements (from planning to timely wrap-up)Supervise staff including providing timely performance feedback to the staffPrepare documentation, work papers, financial statements and client communication lettersComplete initial review of tax returns, as requiredConsult with clients on benefit plan documentation, administrative and operational issues.Maintain contact with clients throughout the year, and possess a thorough knowledge of the client and their industry to provide value-added recommendationsServe as a mentor & resource for audit staffRequirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in AccountingMinimum of two years of experience in public accountingSpecific experience auditing qualified defined contribution and defined benefit plans including 401(k), 403(b), multi-employer, ESOP and health and welfare plans is a plusFamiliarity with the various forms associated with employee benefit plans, including Form 5500 is a plusProven ability to consult with clients on benefit plan documentation, administrative and operational issues and/or DOL notices or examinations, plan terminations, plan mergers and acquisitions, etc. is a plusAbility to learn & expand knowledge of ERISA and the retirement plan industry
