Job Summary
This position works across two GDI units, Business Technologies and Collection Platform & Data (CP&D), at 50% capacity with each team.
Reporting to the Business Technologies Assistant Director, this position will help support several of our business production systems to enable the Product Managers for our Facilities systems and our ITSM solution, Cherwell, to focus on major initiatives to implement improvements in Identity and Access Management, replace Cherwell and move Maximo to the cloud. Those projects and therefore this work will continue throughout the 2026 calendar year.Additionally, this position works with the CP&D team on projects related to Getty's digital asset management system (OpenText Media Management software, called GAMMA internally). This involves moving legacy system customizations into configurations, implementing new features such as the Magellan reporting tool, and conducting database analysis to support our data modeling work and general database housekeeping activities.Getty, one of the most prestigious cultural heritage organizations in the world, is dedicated to furthering the study of the history of art, advancing conservation practice, and promoting public knowledge and appreciation of art. Major Job Responsibilities
Plan and implement technical projects related to GAMMA, Getty's digital asset management system
Provide system support and possible improvements to business applications listed above.Serves level 3 support on specific SaaS products and tools. Escalates issues to vendors or external consultantsApplies extensive IT service management practices to design details of services, systems and/or productsApplies technical expertise and business analysis concepts to identify, evaluate and define complex systems scope and objectives with an understanding of applicable business practices, processes, systems and industry standards to meet end-user service needsMay works with vendors to collaborate with stakeholders from across campus, including product managers, software engineers, system administrators, and staff users to provide support and develop technical solutionsMaintain project documentation, time frames, and status reports as directedMay lead a small cross-functional service team or serve on a more complex service or product teamServes level 3 support on specific SaaS products and tools. Escalates issues to vendors or external consultantsApplies extensive IT service management practices to design details of services, systems and/or productsApplies technical expertise and business analysis concepts to identify, evaluate and define complex systems scope and objectives with an understanding of applicable business practices, processes, systems and industry standards to meet end-user service needsWorks with vendors to manage service levels and costs
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or a combination of education and relevant experienceMaster's or advanced degree in domain specific area preferred (e.g. MLIS, Data Science, MIS)2-5 years experience with IT systems
