Job Description
The Sr. Accountant will support the accounting affairs of Elevate Entertainment Group. You will examine, analyze, and interpret accounting records to prepare financial statements, provide advice, or audit and evaluate statements prepared by others. Install or advise on systems of recording costs or other financial and budgetary data.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account informationReconciles and maintains assigned balance sheet and income statement accountsAnalyzes income statement for several operating locationsPrepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.Assists Accounting Manager in driving change management and process implementation/improvementRecommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.Guides accounting staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.Secures financial information by completing database backups.Maintains financial security by following internal controls.Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.Skills + Abilities included but are not limited to:
Excellent management and supervisory skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Proficient in accounting software.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.Able to work independently and with a team successfully.Strong accounting foundation and thorough understanding of GAAPAbility to multitask and work in a dynamic environmentEducation + Experience + Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.Five years or more of related experience is required.Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.Industry experience in Restaurant or Hospitality preferredPhysical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.Pay Range: 80k-90k
