Overview

The AV Technician is responsible for the setup, strike, operation, and maintenance of AV equipment. This role requires technical expertise, customer service skills, and attention to detail. This position is for the Lexington Sporting Club and Central Bank Center.

This role pays an hourly wage of $20 to $30.

ResponsibilitiesInstall and operate a variety of AV equipment including projectors, microphones, speakers, video, monitors, cameras, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boardsConduct routine maintenance on AV equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and is ready for useTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AV systemsAssist in the planning and setup of AV equipment for various eventsWork closely with clients, event managers, and team members to understand AV needs and provide solutions that meet these requirementsMaintain and inventory AV equipmentStay updated with the latest AV technologies and trendsEnsure all AV setups comply with safety standards and regulationsAssist in the installation of new equipment throughout the facilityWork side by side with third party AV vendorsOther duties as assignedQualifications

Associate degree or higher in AV Technology, IT Technology, Broadcast Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience.Proven experience as an AV technician or similar roleStrong knowledge of AV equipment and software, including troubleshooting and repair techniquesBasic understanding of networking and TCP/IP as it pertains to AVExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentExcellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical usersFlexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedulesPhysical ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment and work at heights when necessaryBasic understanding of electricity and single/ 3 phase connections
