Job Description:

Pay Range: $60hr - $65hr

Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis Reporting: Conduct in-depth financial analysis and reporting focused on the engineering department s discretionary spending, purchase orders, contingent labor, and CapEx.Develop and maintain complex financial models tailored to the unique needs of engineering operations.Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis against budgets and forecasts specific to engineering projects.Budgeting Forecasting for Engineering Operations: Lead the budgeting process for the engineering department, ensuring alignment with overall company financial goals.Collaborate closely with engineering leadership to create accurate and realistic financial forecasts, taking into account project timelines, resource allocation, and operational requirements.Continuously monitor and update forecasts to reflect changes in engineering priorities and business conditions.Purchase Orders CapEx Management: Oversee and analyze purchase orders related to engineering projects, ensuring they align with budgetary constraints and strategic objectives.Track and report on CapEx initiatives within engineering, ensuring adherence to financial policies, project timelines, and budgetary constraints.Work with procurement, project management, and engineering teams to optimize purchase order processes and CapEx expenditures, ensuring efficient use of resources.Contingent Workforce Analysis in Engineering: Provide financial analysis and reporting on the use of contingent workers within engineering, including cost-benefit analysis, headcount tracking, and budget compliance.Support engineering management in making informed decisions about contingent labor utilization by providing detailed financial insights.Strategic Financial Support for Engineering Operations: Partner with engineering leaders to provide financial guidance and recommendations on discretionary spending, CapEx projects, and contingent labor strategies, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within engineering financial operations, contributing to the department's efficiency and effectiveness.Compliance & Governance in Engineering Finance: Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and internal controls related to discretionary spending, purchase orders, contingent workers, and CapEx within the engineering department.Support audits and compliance reviews by providing necessary financial data and documentation specific to engineering operations.Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.3-5 years of experience in FP&A, with a focus on supporting engineering or technical operations.Strong analytical skills with expertise in financial modeling and data analysis, particularly within an engineering context.dvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial planning software (e.g., Hyperion, SAP, Oracle).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with engineers and technical teams.
