As an Audio Video Installer, you will be responsible for the professional installation, setup, and maintenance of audio and video equipment in various environments, including residential, commercial, and corporate settings. Your role involves interpreting client needs and specifications, selecting appropriate equipment, and ensuring that all installations meet the highest standards of quality and performance. You will work with a range of systems, including home theater setups, conference room systems, and custom AV solutions, providing expert technical support and troubleshooting as needed.
Responsibilities
• Installation and Setup:
Install and configure audio and video equipment, including speakers, projectors, screens, and control systems, ensuring proper functionality and alignment with client specifications.• Technical Support:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for AV systems, diagnosing and resolving issues to maintain optimal performance.• Client Interaction:
Communicate with clients to understand their needs, offer recommendations, and ensure satisfaction with the final installation. Provide clear explanations of system operation and maintenance.• System Integration:
Integrate AV equipment with existing systems and networks, ensuring seamless operation and compatibility.• Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of installations, modifications, and maintenance activities. Prepare detailed reports and documentation for clients and management.• Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and manufacturer guidelines during installations and service calls. Ensure all work is performed to the highest safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
Education and Certifications:
• High School Diploma or GED:
Basic educational requirement.• Technical Training or Associate's Degree:
Preferred in fields related to electronics, audiovisual technology, or a related area.
Industry Certifications:
Relevant certifications such as:•CEDIA (Custom Electronics Design & Installation Association)•AVIXA (Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association)•BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Service International)•Certified Technology Specialist (CTS)
Experience:• Previous Experience:
Hands-on experience in AV installation or a related field, such as electronics or IT support, is often preferred.• On-the-Job Training:
Practical experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting AV systems.
Technical Skills:• Knowledge of AV Equipment:
Familiarity with various audio and video equipment, including projectors, screens, sound systems, control systems, and networked AV solutions.• Wiring and Cabling:
Proficiency in running and terminating cables, understanding signal flow, and ensuring proper connections.• System Integration:
Ability to integrate AV systems with other technologies, such as automation systems, lighting, and control interfaces.
Soft Skills:• Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.• Attention to Detail:
Meticulous approach to installations to ensure high-quality and reliable performance.• Communication Skills:
Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members, and for documenting work.
Physical Requirements:• Physical Fitness:
Ability to lift and carry equipment, work at heights, and perform installations in various physical conditions.• Manual Dexterity:
Skilled with hand tools and able to handle delicate equipment carefully.

A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for traveling to job sites.• Safety Awareness:
