As a Senior Leader, develop and strengthen physician and clinic relationships throughout the Avera footprint, assist in the development of new partnerships, represent the physician's perspective and serve as physician advocate.Positive and productive team environment.Job SummaryThe Avera Medical Group Chief Medical Officer is responsible for driving physician relationships, engaging physicians with the Avera system, and representing the physician perspective to Avera Health and Avera Medical Group executives. Serves as a physician advocate promoting effective physician/system relationships. Works closely with the AMG Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) in a dyad leadership model.This position will require regular travel throughout the Avera footprint.Supervisory Responsibilities Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Education and/or ExperienceDoctorate of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine requiredFive years of experience in treating patients post-educational training is required.Engagement in leadership and growth opportunities encouraged.Licensure/Certification/RegistrationMedical License required.Federal DEA and State CSR (if applicable) preferred.Board Certification required.What Makes Avera Special?
