Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Staff Accountant. Reporting directly to our Controller, the Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, financial analysis, and tax-related activities. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with a strong background in Excel, bookkeeping, and tax knowledge. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification, or a candidate pursuing a CPA, is preferred, but is not required.

Responsibilities:

Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, accounts receivable and payable, and general ledger maintenance.Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.Conduct financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities.Monitor and reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial records.Process weekly commission payroll transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payroll policies.Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of supporting schedules and financial statements.Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.Stay informed about changes in accounting and tax regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and standards.Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Proven experience of at least 3 years working as an Accountant or in a similar role.Strong proficiency in NetSuite.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas.Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.Familiarity with tax regulations and experience in tax-related activities.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Experience with accounting software and ERP systems is a plus.Benefits:
