The Part-Time Lunch Aide Paraprofessional at Barber Preparatory Academy in Highland Park, MI, will ensure lunch is transported to and from the classroom at designated times. The Aide will help supervise students while eating to ensure that they are orderly, safe, and mannerly during mealtime, which may include both indoor and outdoor supervision. The Aide will work with students to learn appropriate lunchroom etiquette, good manners, cleaning up after themselves, and encouraging appropriate, positive intermingling of students.

About the Opportunity:

Responsibilities and qualities of the Lunch Aide include-Monitoring and assisting students at "meal-time" and recess.Assisting younger children in getting lunch trays, milk, and condiments.Assisting students in cleaning up after themselves (spills, wiping tables, disposing of trash, etc.).Helped wash tables, pick up floor trash, and prepare condiments between lunch sessions and after lunch.Assisting with providing teachers breaks and planning timesHelped maintain the cleanliness of the classroom, lunchroom, and other school areas.Understanding, accepting, abiding by, and implementing the school's philosophy and mission statement in all activities.Acting in accordance with directives from the Administrator (or designee).Contributing to a positive climate and culture by exhibiting high professional standards.Other duties as assigned.About You:
