As a Senior Financial Analyst at Phoenix Logistics, you will play a key role in driving strategic financial decisions for our Wire Harness and CNC manufacturing operations. Your financial expertise will enhance decision-making by providing detailed analysis, accurate cost assessments, and insightful financial forecasts across various programs. This role demands strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to communicate complex financial information to cross-functional teams, including the General Manager, Program Manager, Operational staff, and Accounting.

You will actively engage with teams to ensure that program costs align with both forecasts and company goals, and that financial data is reported in a timely and accurate manner. Your contributions will be critical in supporting the financial performance of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Management:

Establish and maintain standard costs for operations by collecting and analyzing operational data, enabling more accurate financial planning and forecasting.Financial Analysis:

Identify the financial status of various projects by comparing actual results to forecasts and provide strategic recommendations for improving financial performance.Process Improvement:

Lead cost analysis processes by developing and enforcing financial policies, identifying trends, and providing forecasts, and recommend actionable steps for leadership.Variance Monitoring:

Monitor and explain variances between actual results and forecasted performance, ensuring management is informed of key drivers and deviations.Data Reconciliation:

Reconcile financial data by verifying transactions, correcting discrepancies, and ensuring data accuracy.Strategic Decision Support:

Perform comparative analyses and interpret financial data to assess potential changes in methods and operational practices.Productivity Enhancement:

Develop automated accounting applications and streamline processes to improve overall financial productivity.Confidentiality:

Safeguard sensitive financial data and ensure compliance with corporate confidentiality standards.Collaborative Projects:

Support cross-functional teams on special projects and provide insights through ad hoc reporting as needed.AP/Billing Coordination:

Work closely with Billing and AP staff to ensure costs are posted to the correct account/project IDs and are invoiced to customers accurately and within deadlines.Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, strategic planning, pricing, forecasting, corporate development, or accounting. Prior experience in manufacturing, particularly in wire harness and CNC operations, is strongly preferred.Technical Proficiency:

Advanced skills in MS Excel, including complex formulas and data analysis. Experience with Deltek Costpoint or other ERP systems is highly desirable.Analytical Skills:

Demonstrated ability to interpret complex data, conduct in-depth trend analysis, and provide data-driven recommendations.Communication Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders and collaborate effectively across departments.Adaptability:

Ability to thrive in an agile and fast-paced environment, effectively managing shifting priorities while ensuring team collaboration and success.Knowledge of Regulations:

Familiarity with or the ability to quickly learn DFARS, CAS, and GAAP to ensure compliance with government contracting standards.Intellectual Curiosity:

A proactive approach to learning, continuously asking "Why?" and "How?" to drive process improvements and enhance operational outcomes.Team-Oriented:

Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team, contributing to collective goals.Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field.An advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus but not required.
