Entry Level Fabricator / Welder Location: Oakman, AL Compensation: Negotiable based on experience Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team, responsible for cutting and joining metals and other materials at our facilities or construction sites. As a Welder, you will operate appropriate equipment to construct mechanical structures or parts with high precision. Your work is crucial in providing the foundation for strong and durable infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to plan layout and welding procedures. Accurately measure and prepare materials for welding by cutting with powered saws. Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on project requirements. Set up components for welding according to specifications, ensuring all materials meet the required measurements. Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding. Align components using calipers, rulers, and clamps to ensure precision and accuracy. Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead). Inspect and test welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws. Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Welder. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. Knowledge of different welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, and ARC welding. Familiarity with safety standards and regulations. Attention to detail and ability to work with high precision. Strong manual dexterity and physical stamina. Certification in welding is a plus. Hours: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM Includes a 30-minute lunch break 40 hours per week
