Clinical faculty members will be expected to demonstrate teaching effectiveness, scholarly productivity, service to the community or profession, and participation in the governance of the School of Nursing and the University. Faculty will teach across all educational programs as appropriate, with a focus on the Family Nurse Practitioner DNP specialty track. Clinical practice in the area of expertise may be incorporated as part of the position. Opportunities exist for formal leadership in the advanced practice specialty curriculum.

Multiple hires may be made from this posting in accordance with the needs of the school. Individuals may be hired at 100% or less depending on the needs of the school and the individual. Individuals may be hired on a 12-month or a 9-month appointment depending on the needs of the school and anticipated workload. Appropriate rank will be determined at time of hire, following assessment of skills/experience.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Earned doctorate (DNP or PhD). Licensure as a registered nurse and board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner is required for this posting. Minnesota RN licensure must be obtained prior to entering on duty.

Preferred Qualifications: Earned doctorate in nursing. Clinical practice experience as an FNP. Evidence of excellence in a defined area of scholarship and at least one year teaching and advising experience. Demonstrated record of service to the profession.
