A Senior Data Governance Analyst is a key member of the Data Governance Program at Northwest Bank and will lead the development, deployment, and maintenance of key Data Governance processes relative to sourcing, management, development, and consumption of critical data assets. The Senior Data Governance Analyst will manage the flow of data for Northwest, ensuring its integrity, efficiency, and availability, and that appropriate technical and administrative controls are active, documented, and maintained.

Essential Functions• Lead the development, application and deployment of data policies and processes and their continued enforcement to include areas such as workflow for data ingestion, data quality, master data and data life cycle management. Ensure that data quality guidance and direction is applied throughout the entire data lifecycle, most importantly upfront, through the vision and roadmaps for solutions that seek to leverage data and data services• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of functionalities within Data Governance tools and technologies to execute the Data Governance program framework• Curate operational documentation to support usage of the Data Governance Tools and Technologies for the entire organization, from casual users with read-only access to power users with write capabilities• Ensure that all data assets which are subject to the governance processes adhere to appropriate policy and standards• Lead the design, development, and support the ongoing maintenance of an end-to-end data lifecycle management approach• Responsible for applying data governance framework including the management of data, operating model, data policies and standards as well as the application of clearly defined data management definitions for use across Northwest• Lead in the application of the data governance framework with a focus on continued improvement of data quality and adhere to the Bank's data governance strategy• Lead data governance team members in the translation of business rules to data quality rules, as well as the implementation and execution of those data quality rules into data profiling processes within the data governance tools and technologies. Lead the planning, direction, and execution of data improvement efforts in a highly matrixed environment• Lead data governance team members and Data Working Groups in the root-cause investigation of data quality issues and develop proposed solutions to remediate those issues• Facilitate regular Data Working Group sessions with business partners to identify and document critical data assets and their uses, and define the business rules that govern those critical data assets• Monitoring data quality process, identifying data quality issue patterns, applying remediation plans, implementation of data controls, and manage data quality remediation strategies• Assist in developing, reviewing and following standards, policies and processes regarding data quality management• Lead and manage the development and maintenance of program-level metrics and reporting for the Data Steering Committee and other oversight bodies for the Data Governance Program with full transparency• Lead product demonstrations to showcase functionality of tools and technologies, with specific emphasis on how the tools support and carry out the Data Governance Program framework• Work closely with the Training Department to develop and refine enterprise training content pertaining to the Data Governance Program

Additional Essential Functions• Ensure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations• Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency• Work as part of a team• Work with on-site equipment

EducationBachelor's Degree Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Informatics or related business or technical field

Work Experience5 - 6 years Experience in data governance or quality management, information architecture and governance design and implementation, with significant influence on overall direction of data governance management3 - 5 years Experience in data governance or quality management, information architecture and governance design and implementation, with significant influence on overall direction of data governance management3 - 5 years Experience in banking and finance industry with a focus on bank operations and the banking regulatory environment
