What you'll do:AmeriHome is seeking a Senior Financial Planning Analyst to join its Corporate Finance team.
This is a challenging role within the Financial Planning and Analysis team requiring complex problem-solving skills in managing multiple high profile priorities, possess a keen attention to detail and possess the ability to work through ambiguous situations. The successful candidate must have a demonstrated track record of achievement in driving successful projects and exhibiting strong interpersonal / communication skills with multiple business partners. Key responsibility areas include forecasting, interest rate risk, budgeting, data analysis, documentation, among others.The ideal candidate should be passionate about accountability, aspire to high standards, detail oriented, adaptable with changing priorities and help the department and organization in driving results through continuous improvement initiatives.
What we are looking for:Develop a thorough understanding of mortgage concepts and processesSource detailed financial information for use with financial modeling and reportingDevelop and maintain comprehensive control policies and procedure documents to ensure the integrity of the forecast and reporting processesTranslate detailed accounting data into actionable analyticsPerform comprehensive data analysis with financial information on various analytical platformsPrepare, maintain and enhance complex financial models to prepare for annual budgeting, interest rate / market risk reporting as well as monthly forecastsDevelop standardized financial and operational reporting, including key metrics and dashboards for dissemination to executive management and internal stakeholdersConduct in depth analyses in support of executive finance business reviewsWork to continuously improve controls, validations and to streamline the reporting and modeling processAssist in special projects and ad-hoc analysesWhat you need to have:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field3+ years or equivalent of relevant finance, accounting or interest rate risk / asset liability management experienceStrong financial analytical skills with the ability to clearly present and reportExcel skills with a proficiency with the MS Office suite (Powerpoint, Word, etc.)Working knowledge of SQL or similar database platformClearly communicate, document and present complex subject matter to various audiencesData analysis skills to provide insights, feedback and perspective on operational and financial performanceAbility to work independently and comfortably with incomplete information and adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced environmentProactive problem solver, expected to present problems and recommendations simultaneouslyCommitment to excellence and high level of motivation and initiativeMaintain high level of trust and integrity under strict confidentialityProven ability to prioritize quickly and deliver results with a strong track record of managing deliverables from multiple parties to meet challenging deadlinesMaster's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Financial Engineering or related field is helpfulComputer Science courses or equivalent experience / exposure helpfulCFA, FRM or CPA helpfulMortgage experience helpfulQuantitative Risk Management (QRM) Balance Sheet Management or other Interest Rate Risk platform experience is helpfulCompensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $121,870.00 - $143,377.50 for Westlake Village, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
