Scrum Master (Software Development)

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our dynamic Software Development team. The Scrum Master will facilitate and coordinate Agile Scrum processes within our IT Department, ensuring the team works collaboratively and efficiently to deliver high-quality solutions.
This position can be hybrid, but must be local to the Des Moines, IA area for weekly onsite work.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to
Champion the project, teams, and team members, and act as a communication bridge between product manager and development teamsCoordinate sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-upsCoach team members in Agile frameworksFacilitate effective internal department collaborationBe the point of contact for external communications (e.g., business stakeholders and vendors)Work with Product Owners to prioritize and manage backlogs and new requestsResolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occurHelp teams implement changes effectivelyEnsure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprintGuide development teams to higher scrum maturityHelp build a productive environment where team members 'own' the product and enjoy working on itRequired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a similar field4+ years' experience in a Scrum Master roleFamiliarity with software developmentExcellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks (Scrum, Lean, Kanban)Excellent communication and servant leadership skillsProblem-solving and conflict-resolution abilityOutstanding organizational skillsExperience with CRM and ERP systemsGeneral conceptual understanding of programming and database queryingCertification in Agile methodologies, like Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teamsPrior knowledge of Agile project management tools, such as Azure DevOps or JiraGood working knowledge skills with Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Visio, SharePoint, and Microsoft TeamsProject management skills with effective results focus within an information systems environmentAbility to manage business unit relationshipsExperience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures, and guidelines to support operational processesSelf-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing prioritiesAbility to quickly learn new technology and systemsWillingness to work occasionally outside normal business hours for scheduled deploymentsPreferred Skills and Experience
