Software Engineer, Front End/UIE Responsibilities
Develop, design, create, modify, and/or test mobile and desktop web software applications or systems.Architect efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications.Implement features and user interfaces to optimize performance of user-facing products.Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products.Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.Understand the challenges faced by developers when implementing guidance to comply with regulations and develop solutions to reduce their level of effort.Resolve ambiguity in understanding product requirements through prior project experience, domain knowledge and research.Scope a large technical problem into smaller tasks and coordinate execution through engineers on same and different teams.Telecommute from anywhere in the US permitted.Minimum Qualifications
Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field. Requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in the following:1. Building mobile and desktop web applications using JavaScript, including asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES62. HTML or CSS including layout, specificity, cross browser compatibility, and accessibility3. Browser APIs and optimizing front end performance of web-based applications4. Front end development of mobile and desktop applications using React, Vue, or Angular5. Debugging or benchmarking6. Writing code for User Interface components7. Building tools, linting and formatting of the codebase8. Backend development using Hack9. API development using GraphQL10. Properly versioning and committing code using Mercurial.
