As a Press Operator at our facility, you would be responsible for complete operation of the press including setting equipment guides, inspecting product, measuring dimensions of completed products and aligning machine parts. 2nd Shift - Tuesday through Friday (3:30pm through 2:00am)

How you'll contribute to our company:

Reconcile coil identity to production and load coilCheck and record gauge, width, hardness, camber, burr, and surface requirement and ensure compliance with customer and production requirements (record if required)Thread coil thru leveler/flattener, feed unitSetup dies in the press with the part and scrap chutes/conveyorsSetup the press/levelers/flattener to the proper program or required parametersMake minor adjustments to the press/dies/conveyors to produce product at a reasonable rateRun coil at maximum rate that will produce complying productMonitor strip condition to ensure compliance with customer requirements and production instructionsSetup skids on the parts conveyors to ensure no disruption of productionRemove scrap from press as necessary, empty hoppersClean machine and entire areaConvey customer specific packaging specificationsCommunicate non-compliance or quality problems to supervisor and/or shift leadHere's what we can offer:

Ability to use tape measure, Rockwell tester, digital calipers, digital/dial indicators, height gauge, computer, part specific gauges and micrometersAbility to comply with safety rules and requirements

Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 poundsAbility to read and understand material tags and production instructionsAbility to communicate effectivelyAbility to see details at close range
