The Engineering Science Division (ESD) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a Staff Cyber Operations Analyst to assist the US Army's Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL) with various RDT&E projects. This position is located in Panama City, FL, but remote work is possible for the right candidate.

CERL provides cutting-edge research and development in infrastructure science & engineering and operational science & engineering. As a Staff Cyber Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying risks that lead to loss or degradation of information and provide recommendations for risk reduction based on DoD mission. You will identify threats to information technology and operational technology and assess vulnerabilities.

Duties Include:

Providing system cybersecurity risk management framework (RMF) documentation supportProviding support to the Security Control Assessor-ValidatorImplementing and enabling software applications developed by the Department of EnergyMonitoring, analyzing, and detecting cyber events and incidentsMinimum Qualifications:

US citizenship requiredAbility to obtain a DoD Security ClearanceBachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, etc.) and 5-7 years' experience or a master's degree and 3-5 years' experiencePrevious experience with DoD network securityPrevious experience with risk management framework (RMF) documentationExperience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Authority to Operate artifactsProgramming experience (Python, C++, etc.)Understanding of information technology threats and cybersecurity practicesHands-on experience with security monitoring, threat hunting, malware analysis, signature development, and shell scriptingAbility to travel to various military installationsDesired Qualifications:

Active/Current DoD Security ClearanceTeam and project leadership experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience installing, configuring, and administering software applicationsExperience with firewalls and network TAP technologiesWorking knowledge of DoD's IT system and network certification and accreditation processes, to include system security authorization agreements
