Primary Responsibilities: Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift. Administers direct care as necessary. Administer prescribed medications to patients. Make rounds to ensure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment. Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in residents' condition. Assists in developing comprehensive care plans. Maintains accurate documentation of all care rendered. Responds to resident emergency call system. Encourages restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence. Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned. Assures proper functioning of equipment and adequate supplies. Shares on-call duties with designated staff. Qualifications: All nurses must be currently licensed in the State. Must have current CPR certification. Previous experience in nursing, patient care, or other related fields, at least 6 months of nursing experience in a long-term care setting preferred. Ability to build rapport with patients. Compassionate and caring demeanor. All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility.
