Join our diverse and growing Accounting & Finance team at PrizePicks. This role reports to the Accounting Senior Manager and is based in Atlanta, GA, with potential for flexible work arrangements.
What you'll do:
Prepare recurring & non-recurring journal entriesEnhance the company's balance sheet reconciliations and related supportReview deferred expense and income items, e.g. prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, depreciation, and amortization schedules and prepare related balance sheet reconciliationsReview AP Aging reconciliation, monitor unpaid and missing itemsCollaborate with external accountants on audits and tax preparationRecommend quick win process/procedural changes and controls with high cost-benefitIdentify process improvements and risk areasContribute to special projects as neededWhat you have:
2-3 years of audit or public accounting experience (essential)Additional 1+ years of relevant work experience in technology (e.g., e-commerce, software, internet gaming) is beneficialBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldProgress toward CPA designation if degree is not in accountingCollaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work through ambiguityProficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooksFamiliarity with data-rich business intelligence environmentsUnderstanding of U.S. GAAPExperience with mid-market ERPs (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct) is a plusWhere you'll live:
