New College invites applications for the position of Business Systems Analyst

The Business Systems Analyst assists with the overall administration of the Financial Aid Office including, but not limited to, overseeing all systems processing and reporting aspects of the Ellucian/Banner Financial Aid module, troubleshooting errors and problems, data distribution, electronic file imports/exports, federal/state data reports, ad hoc reports and primary contact with Ellucian's financial aid customer service representatives. Advises the Director of Financial Aid in all financial aid technical matters including system upgrades, reports, software problems, and hardware upgrades. Provides support to all staff regarding office policies and procedures, including, but not limited to reporting and technology. Acts as a member of the leadership team for financial aid by providing staff training and participating in the development, documentation, implementation, and monitoring of policies and procedures necessary to ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations. Maintains expertise in all areas of financial aid to ensure compliance; identifies regulatory changes that will impact the department; participates in off-campus training, as needed; acts as a resource related to relevant rules and regulations. Maintains procedures and reports necessary to complete annual Federal, State, and institutional reporting requirements and prepares report information for review by the Director of Financial Aid. Partners with NCF Information Technology for technical support on financial aid issues and participates in cross-functional working groups and committees. Assists the Director with the management and content updates to the College's net price calculator. Collaborates with the Admissions Operations team in creating and updating the Admissions CRM system for financial aid related processes and procedures. Create, update, and maintain proper documentation on standard operating procedures for utilizing financial aid technology solutions. Manage the testing and implementation of database updates working with IT to insure the integrity of the financial aid database. Oversee implementation of creating "new year' information in the system for each academic year including student budgets, funds management, and packaging schemes. Assists with the authorization and maintenance of information access and security controls for staff. The Business Systems Analyst assists the financial aid team with the creation and generation of all Financial Aid communication (both email and print). This includes using population selections in Banner or ARGOS reports to generate mailings, printing, matching, and collating printed mailings. Regular letters and messages may include batch right to cancel letters for loan borrowers, Satisfactory Academic Progress reminders and notices, delinquent loan letters, missing information letters, and financial aid offer letters. The Business Systems Analyst will assist the financial aid team with ensuring that all financial aid records are securely being stored in an electronic format and will work with IT to ensure a relatively seamless process between college systems. Performs special projects and related responsibilities as initiated and requested.Minimum Qualifications

A master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience.Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated proficiency in the use of financial aid systems with experience in financial aid upgrades, reports, and software problems. Experience writing reports and analyzing dataExcellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. Strong interpersonal communication with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and successfully interact in a studentservice oriented environment. Proven ability to set work priorities, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, hands-on environment while meeting deadlinesOne to three year experience working with Banner software. Experience analyzing data using ARGOS or an equivalent report writer, electronic forms, and document imaging. Understanding of and experience with relational databases. Recent financial aid experienceFamiliarity with COD, NSLDS, EdConnect, and other Department of Education systems along with SLATE or other customer relation management systems
